Children's Center Director for Korean Community Development Services Center; Philadelphia, PA

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in General Education, Early Childhood Education or in another related field; 2 years experience as a daycare director or as a designer of curriculum and teaching methods for pre-school age children; Oral and written fluency in Korean

Descriptions of Job Duties

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Center
• Develop and manage a multi-cultural program to address the special needs of Korean children who attend the Center
• Attract new clients
• Design program curriculum and teaching methods
• Determine which textbooks are appropriate
• Recruit and hire qualified and experienced multi-cultural/bilingual staff
• Maintain relations with the Korean community to facilitate communication and recruitment
• Plan and organize the Center's recreational activities
• Supervise the Center's staff
• Assist management in budgeting
